Week 2: Cowboys @ Redskins – Familiar Enemies at Home

It just doesn’t get any better than a Redskins-Cowboys football game. Our Washington Redskins are coming off a disappointing loss last Monday night against the Pittsburg Steelers, The Dallas Cowboys lost a close game to the division rival New York Giants. However, if you have a pulse, you know when the Redskins and Cowboys get it on, both teams come to play. We want a victory and make the Cowboys zero wins and two losses, both in the division. A win will get us 1 +1, and 1 + 0 in our division.

Don’t let announcers fool you; pre-season football games are important because our players get to hit someone else besides our own players.  Drafted and undrafted rookies and new free agents need an opportunity to show how good they are in game situations. Our coaches need to screen all the 75 players to determine who will make the final cut down to 53.

2016 Washington Redskins ~ The Domination Organization

Yes, I know its early – not even the final 53 cut, not even August and I should wait to say all this but I’m “feeling the spirit, have to preach, gimme that soapbox”. I am loosing my tie, throwing off my coat! Get me a witness! 2016 Redskins Special Teams, From George Allen to Jay Gruden

In the early 70’s, the late great Washington Redskins head coach George Allen was the NFL coach who more or less invented the concept of “Special Teams”. Allen was the very 1st to select a coach to specifically deal with kickoffs, punt-returns, extra points, field-goals, punters, kickers, head-hunters, wedge busters, blocking punts and field-goals, and everything other than the offense and defense.

A new era in football was born when Allen realized the true value of kicks and punts:

Any team can easily win any game, or lose any game by only one carefully crafted play, either by positive or negative results.
