Of the four preseason games this one will probably be the most valuable to our starting players and to our coaching staff. I believe we will our starters at least the first half before coaches start “experimenting, trying different packages, and backup players. Hopefully we will see our 2016 Washington Redskins play a penalty-free game dominating the line of scrimmage and scoring points. Also, a top secondary and a powerful front 7 defense is desirable.

Don’t let announcers fool you; pre-season football games are important because our players get to hit someone else besides our own players. Drafted and undrafted rookies and new free agents need an opportunity to show how good they are in game situations. Our coaches need to screen all the 75 players to determine who will make the final cut down to 53.

Bon Secours Training Center, a Washington Redskins Tradition
What we Washington Redskins know as “Training Camp” in Richmond, Virginia is actually named ‘Bon Secours Training Center’. Bon Secours name means “good health” and in 1888, the Catholic “Sisters”, aka Nuns expanded their superior health care to the United States. They were founded in Paris, France and Irish Catholic Sisters provided the best Bon Secours health care at the time. Many hospitals and care centers are in the modern day hospital organization. It is heartwarming to know the name of our Training Camp means good health and it’s a special name.
Update on Washington Redskins Mini Camp ‘Eye Candy’
As you know Minicamp is over and there is a 6 week break before Redskins Training Camp in Richmond, Va. on or about July 28th, 2016. Currently, there is a 90 man roster going into training camp. Before 4 p.m. ET, on September 1st, all NFL clubs must reduce their rosters to a maximum of 75 players on the active list. It’s cut-down time in the NFL. Sept. 3: Final NFL Preseason games. Then on September 5th, before 4 p.m. ET, clubs must reduce rosters to a maximum of 53 players on the Active/Inactive List.
