HEAR YE, HEAR YE, HEAR YE. Forget what the “so-called NFL experts” predict and all the doubters, pouters, and do-withouters and the HATER-AID drinkers say. The Dallas Cowboys, nor the NY Giants, and nor the Philadelphia Eagles will win the NFC East. Our Washington Redskins will again win the NFC East.
It’s spring again – The birds are singing, the bees are buzzing, and the dogwood trees are blooming all over the South. But are the young men’s hearts consumed with thoughts of beautiful young ladies, romance and hot-blooded passion?
Nah… They’re all dreaming about the 2016 NFL draft.
To quote great Washington Redskins HOF coach George Allen, “THE FUTURE IS NOW”. Little did he know then that the term would take on an entire new meaning in the future to come. Bear in mind back in the 70’s, defenses ruled. Today the focus is on offenses, and the rules are totally different from what they were then.
Although our Washington Redskins regular and playoff season is over, there will be a lot going on between now and the 2016 football season. The East West Bowl game was last Saturday and the Senior Bowl is January 30th, and you’ll probably see some future Washington Redskins playing in these games. NFL coaches coach both the North and South teams and virtually all NFL teams have scouts and coaches scouting the practices and the game. These games give clues to who the teams should pick in the April 28-30 NFL Draft.
Nobody likes to end the season with a loss, but the Skins faithful have plenty to be thankful for. For one thing, we have a great franchise quarterback – but the best part about it is ending the season with Cousins still healthy.
The team is a strong cohesive unit without all the ‘drama queen’ issues that so many other teams went through this year. The coaching staff is not only competent, but works well with each other while retaining the respect of all the players.
