In the offseason, we have time to reflect on the past and predict the probable future. It’s time us fans gave Redskins President Bruce Allen “some love” and appreciate what all he has done for our Washington Redskins and realize how fortunate we are to have him for our president.
“The first time’s the charm, the second time it’s payback”
Our Washington Redskins will clinch the NFC East Division with a win at Philadelphia vs the Eagles. Although the Eagles are a game behind and lost to the Arizona Cardinals & the Redskins had a big win over the Buffalo Bills, this is a division game. The Philadelphia Eagles will hit us with everything they have and they know they must win or else our Redskins will be the NFC East champs.
XX Our Washington Redskins won their first road game of the season by “bear-ly” edging the Chicago Bears by 3 points. Redskins dominated the first quarter and had a 14 to 0 lead before the Bear defense got tough. Not a lot of “style points” to discuss and it was a close, hard fought defensive game.
With 2 wins and 4 loses the Washington Redskins can’t afford to go backwards. I hesitate to say “must win” but it’s the only honest option. A win, and going 3 and 4 into a bye week is what the team needs now. Washington would still be in reach of the division title, only behind a game or so behind. During the bye week, either the NY Giants or Philadelphia Eagles can, and will most likely stumble. After the bye week the Redskins have to play the New England Patriots, but our chances will be good since we’ll get some of our injured starters back.
