Pre-season Game 3: Redskins vs Ravens, Pre-game Factors

Thursday evening August 25th, its Redskins vs Ravens. It should be a good game, especially the 1st half of this 3rd exhibition game.

In my own opinion the Baltimore Ravens were the best team in the AFC last season. They are consistently in the playoffs, they always have a much respected defense, and have a very good Oline that opens holes for a good running game. This exhibition game will be a measuring stick of our Washington Redskins football team. If we can hang in there with the Ravens, we can beat ANY team.

They won 12 games a year ago and had a two-touchdown lead in a playoff game against the team that wound up representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. Undone by a freakish rash of turnovers – a problem they seldom experienced – they were more than just close; they were pretty much where they needed to be.

If our Oline the hogs can control the line of scrimmage, keep our quarterbacks from being sacked by a top rated defense, and also get our running game going, we will win. Our defense can stop Ray Rice and Ricky Williams from too many rushing yards, and I know our secondary is great this year.
