The Redskins’ Season Starts Now, Stay Informed All Year

Although our Washington Redskins regular and playoff season is over, there will be a lot going on between now and the 2016 football season.  The East West Bowl game was last Saturday and the Senior Bowl is January 30th, and  you’ll probably see some future Washington Redskins playing in these games.  NFL coaches coach both the North and South teams and virtually all NFL teams have scouts and coaches scouting the practices and the game.  These games give clues to who the teams should pick in the April 28-30 NFL Draft.

I am certain our General Manager Scot McCloughan and President Bruce Allen will do another outstanding job during Free Agency which starts 2nd week in March and also again with the NFL Draft.  Most experts agree our Redskins had the best draft in 2015.  Scot McCloughan has a proven track-record in building strong, younger, physical defensive teams.  We can trust Scot and Bruce to get us an even better team for 2016.

Also, we have a number of players who are now Free Agents.  Who will be back on the team in 2016?  Who will get contracts?  What will be our starting quarterback Kirk Cousins new contract?  We both DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon be back in 2016.  Will any player restructure their contracts?  What Free Agents in the NFL will be new Redskins in 2016?  Which positions have the most urgency?  So, stay tuned. and Rev T’s Sports Revival will keep up with all the transactions and everything that affects our Washington Redskins team in the “off season”.  Here are some dates for your calendar.

January 31: NFL Pro Bowl

January 31: An assistant coach, whose team is participating in the Super Bowl, who has previously interviewed for another club’s head coaching job may have a second interview with such club no later than the Sunday preceding the Super Bowl.

Our 2015 Washington Redskins were picked 30th,32nd in the NFL by most “experts” and they finished ranked 11th by most.  Only the team, players, coaches, and some us loyal, diehard, all-weather fans believed in the 2015 Washington Redskins, quarterback Kirk Cousins, head coach Jay Gruden and his staff. They made us proud and won the NFC East Division and had us a home game in the playoffs.  Green Bay ended our postseason, but WE STILL LIKE THAT.  I have no doubt the 2016 Washington Redskins will be even better and we’ll win our division again and be playoff bound.
