When you were just a little tyke your parents tried to teach you common sense the best way they could. Among the many things they tried to get across was to be careful around trains. Trains don’t stop to let you go by; they run over anything that gets in their way.

Alfred “A Train” Morris, starting runningback for the Washington Redskins has not missed a game, rarely fumbles, and is 2nd in the NFL only to Marshawn Lynch of Seattle. He almost slips around unnoticed: no fanfare, no boasting, no arrogance – he just lets his play speak for itself. He is a true team player with high moral character and in my view is a key part of our foundation – we can build around him.
George Allen and Vince Lombardi did it with runningback Larry Brown, and we’ll do it again with Alfred Morris. He’s also a threat in the passing game as a safety-valve, a dump-off to man, or on planned screens. He’s a great blocker and sells out to protect his quarterback against pass rushers. He has proven to be a ‘Draft Diamond’, drafted in the 6th round by Bruce Allen and Mike Shanahan.
Outlook for this season:
A realistic goal would be 1000-1500 all-purpose yards, so barring injury look for Alfred Morris to “make a statement” this season. That statement would of course be:
