Redskins Draft Wishlist: Rob Havenstein – Wisconsin


If you’re one of the many fans who cringe at the mention of ‘mock drafts’, not to worry – if we wanted to waste time we’d tell you the reasons Tony Romo believes he’ll win a Super Bowl in 2016, lol… We will however make a few observations and recommendations before the 2015 draft on a few special would-be rookies.

  • Matched school record with 54 career games played
  • Started 42 games in his career, including 41 straight at right tackle over his final three seasons
  • Anchored offensive line that led way for two of the three best single-season rushing performances in school history at 283.8 yards per game in 2013 and a school-record 320.1 yards per game in 2014
    2014 Season:

  • Earned fourth letter, starting all 14 games at right tackle
  • Paved way for school-record rushing performance of 320.1 yards per game, which ranked No. 3 nationally
    Wisconsin averaged 6.91 yards per carry, the fourth-best rushing average in FBS history
  • UW’s average of Badgers’ 468.9 yards of total offense per game ranked third-best in school history
  • Helped UW post the two most prolific rushing performances in the FBS with 644 yards vs. Bowling Green (Sept. 20) and 581 vs. Nebraska (Nov. 15)
  • UW’s offensive line allowed just 13 sacks in 14 games
  • Helped Heisman Trophy runner-up Melvin Gordon rush for 2,587 yards, the second-most in FBS history
  • Badgers also set school record for total offense at 480.8 yards per game in 2013
  • Blocked for three 1,000-yard rushers in Montee Ball, Melvin Gordon and James White, three of the top five rushers in school history
  • Badgers went 39-16 during his career, matching the second-highest win ratio
