“Well if you want to be political and say on paper, I think all the ESPN guys and all the bloggers will probably say the Dallas Cowboys. But in my eyes, I already think we’re going to surprise a lot of people this year. I’ll say once again, I’m excited about the new additions that have come in. Really, we just have to kind of build a camaraderie.
So once the season starts and we’re ahead full speed, I think we’re gonna surprise a lot of people, and a lot of people are really gonna be saying, “Wow, those guys are pretty good!” So once the season starts — I’m not gonna put too much pressure on us — but I think we’ll be the team to beat this year.”
A quick disclaimer: I’m not exactly Nostradamus, but I try pretty hard. (and I’m much better looking than he was)
By the 3rd of May, the Washington Redskins must decide whether or not to pick up the 5th year option on Robert Griffin III. It’s basically a 16.2 million deal and injury protection guaranteed. He hasn’t played his 4th year out yet, so I doubt the Redskins will pay the 16 million option for year 5 at this time.
When you’re rebuilding anything from the ground up, you need to start with a good foundation. Foundations, much like special teams and wide receiver corps need to be both deep and solid. One of the Washington Redskins wide receivers will be a much needed cornerstone in 2015: DeSean William Jackson.
